Circumcision is a minor surgical procedure to remove the prepuce (foreskin) of the penis. This is commonly performed for religious reasons but primarily for medical reasons such as improved hygiene, sexual pleasure, cosmetic reasons and for the elimination of medical problems such as phimosis (where the foreskin is too tight), paraphimosis (where the foreskin is retracted and becomes too swollen to return to normal position) and balanitis (inflammation of the foreskin). Although most often performed on newborns, circumcision may be performed at any age with minimal pain and discomfort.

What happens during the circumcision procedure?

The foreskin is pulled out in front of the glands and a pair of forceps is then used to secure the foreskin. A scalpel is then run across the face of the forceps furthest from the glands to remove the foreskin. The glands are protected by the forceps. This method does not cut the frenulum (the membrane attaching the foreskin to the glands) but this can be removed before, during or after the circumcision if desired. Continue reading

Your circumcision procedure is performed at our Dubai Healthcare City Clinic or Harley Street London clinic with Dr Maurizo Viel along with his twin brother Dr Roberto Viel who has over 25 years of experience in the field of cosmetic procedures. The circumcision is under intravenous sedation, this is not a general anesthetic, but you will not feel any pain and will not remember the procedure. You can go home same day of your procedure.

The circumcision procedure can be done in conjunction with other male enhancement procedures such as penis enlargement and penis lengthening.
